beach scene in costa rica

Are you interested in traveling to Costa Rica? Are you looking for travel destination information, suggestions, ideas, trip planning tools?

I had the pleasure of traveling to Costa Rica a few years ago and I fell in love with this little country in Central America. It offers a plethora of vacation options. It has everything from beach vacations to ecotours to adventure trips.

I have set this travel web site up as a travel planning guide and have written sections which I hope can help plan a vacation, adventure travel holiday, retirement or even a wedding. i-Travel Costa Rica has the travel information you will need to help plan your trip. I am continuously updating the content on this site and am looking for new ideas, vacation sites and even accommodations.

There are many things to do in Costa Rica:

  • Eco tours are abundant and there are a numerous choices such as bird watching and nature tours.
  • Golf resorts are found throughout Costa Rica and offer some of the best golfing in the Central America.
  • Costa Rica's freshwater fishing is rated among the best spots in the world.
  • Deep sea fishing charters are available in Tamarindo, Quepos and the Golfo Dulce; Golfo Dulce is likely the top spot for fishing in Costa Rica.
  • Surfing in Costa Rica is at it's finest and, for beginners, there are numerous surf camps & schools.
  • White water rafting and kayaking are popular activities in Costa Rica; Costa Rica offers several great rafting rivers.
  • Scuba diving in Costa Rica offers excellent opportunities to see larger marine animals, such as turtles, dolphins and whales.
  • Rain forests in Costa Rica are the natural attraction that brings nearly two million visitors to Costa Rica each year. Tropical rainforests are also the reason for the spectacular biodiversity of this tiny country.
  • Health spas & mud baths in Costa Rica are plentiful and natural. Try one of the many sources of hot thermal springs while visiting Costa Rica or dedicate a vacation to relaxation at one of the finer resorts.
  • Manuel Antonio National Park is one of the most popular national parks in the world. Where else can one find a national park that protects the monkeys and pristine beaches?

What's new?

Many of us are suffering from the winter blues and dreaming about a vacation down south. I've assembled a page on accommodation and hotels in Tamarindo, for those wanting to hit one of the better beaches in Costa Rica.

I'm putting together accommodation web pages for budget travelers. The first to be completed is the youth hostels and inexpensive hotels for Manuel Antonio National Park.
